The starting-point of the used materials is the extreme corrosive environment of the salt yard.
The substructure is formed by the repetition of a modular prefab concrete element. This plinth frames and delimits the plot.
The roof is presented as a light-footed construction which refers to breaking up ice. The roof covers the robust concrete substructure and seems afloat because of the pronounced contrast in form and material.
